Dreaming reveals a subconscious recollection of our definitive design, proving that we can exist beyond the boundaries of corporeality. It is extremely fitting that such a thought provoking track would come from the astute ability chromonicci. brings to his art. This song is not only an ode to recovery, it is the earmark for what recovery feels like – dreaming.

phuture : Hey chromonicci! So great to have you back on board phuture so quickly. How has life been since we last exchanged words at the end of December for issue seven?
chromonicci. : Glad to be back guys! Well right now, I’m in school, and things have been a healthy mixture of busy and awesome. A bunch of exams and a bunch of beats haha.
phuture : These past few months have been notably momentous for you. Having recently released ‘Infinity’ on TreeHôuse Vibes and ‘Anticipate’ via Future Vibes – no slowing down is in sight for you! What’s the secret behind your momentum?
chromonicci. : Man it has been WILD. I can’t even begin to say how amazing things have been. As a religious dude, I tend to fall back on my faith in God to keep me going. I have been blessed to have people in my life that care about pushing me forward thus sustaining this momentum.
phuture : You are given $1,000,000. How do you spend it ? How does your life change, if at all?
chromonicci. : HMMMM. First off I want a bomb laptop/desktop set up with some tasty speakers in a sound insulated room. But honestly I would love to be able to help out my mom and brothers back home 🙂
phuture : How does the theme of ‘RECOVERY’ resonate with you as a person? How about musically, as an artist (as if they weren’t one in the same already!)?
chromonicci. : I’ve dealt with a lot in my life, and a big part of continuing on is learning how to bounce back. Crazy you ask because in periods of stress/sadness I find myself making music in order to reorient myself and find solid ground again.
phuture : Describe the music you make to someone who doesn’t have ears.
chromonicci. : Imagine standing in the middle of a busy urban intersection where everything is outlined in different neon colors. As you stand still the world around you time lapses forward, backwards, and glitches every now and then.
phuture : What’s chromonicci.’s favorite food?
chromonicci. : It’s tie for me between chicken fettuccini alfredo, and chicken strips with honey mustard and french fries. <3333
phuture : Anything in particular we can look forward to from you in 2017?
chromonicci. : I have two EP’s coming out this year, and I’m also super stoked continue to improve and evolve with my sound 🙂
phuture : Give us the names of 3 artists under 1,000 followers who need to discovered by more listeners.
chromonicci. : Jamesbryce, Ooze, CHRIS POP. These dudes are seriously sick and definitely underrated.
