: YAYYY L’HOMIE!!! It feels SO good to have you on our main page after all of this time getting to know you and you releasing on all of our favorite labels. It was an amazing experience co-releasing your ‘it feels good to be dead’ EP on PlayItLouder and since then you dropped your ‘Drift’ EP, had a More Creativity Records release & Bassrush… quite the last year!

Let’s dive right into the thick of things by telling the reader what you had for dinner last night.

L’homie: hahah thank you, i’m incredibly excited about having my next single be apart of the next compilation. Last night i ate bbq from a place in Los Angeles called “Bludso’s BBQ”

Phuture: Give the reader a brief overview of where you live / how long you’ve been on the music grind / what else you do outside of music 🙂

L’homie: I’m currently based in Los Angeles and have been here for the past two years. I’ve been on the music grind for the past 10 years and it still feels exciting to learn new things everytime i work with other producers or when i’m just creating ‘happy accidents’ during the writing process.

Phuture: Let’s talk about ‘Forsaken’. Take us through the production / creation of this track. What were you feeling at the time and what do you hope the listener takes away from this piece?

L’homie: I wrote this song for someone who I had deep feelings for and one of the things we bonded over was having similar experiences with abandonment when we were kids. Its a deeper subject, one I usually don’t incorporate into my music. But the main take away from the track is to find your self worth and realize that the toughest moments in life change you for the better.

Phuture: How would you describe music to a deaf person?

L’homie: multi-layered

Phuture: Give us a walk through a typical day… if that’s a thing ;). To add onto this when production gets involved – do you have any rituals?

L’homie: a typical day includes waking up, making coffee, and getting my morning exercise in. After that i’ll spend a few hours trying to finish up older projects or start a new one. Whenever i’m feeling like i have writers block i try to step away from the project and try to do something else and come back to it later. I do this also when tweaking mixes or doing re-arrangements.

Phuture: What does the next year look like for ya? Any album / shows / streams / travel plans being put together?

L’homie: I spent the last year really focusing on growing outside of music, and with things slowly returning back to normailty, I’m going to be spending these next few months locked in writing mode so I can get back to releasing regularly. I am also looking forward to returning back to the stage and playing some live shows and showcasing some of the new music I’ve been working on.
