Interview with unexotic:
1:
Question: What was the last track or album that you listened to?
Answer: Last album I listened to all the way through was a reggae record by Protoje, think it was Ancient Future. Some dope vibrations jah!!!

2:
Question: Summing up 2015, in a musical nutshell what did music do for you and where did it take you?
Answer: For me, 2015 was a year of improvements. at the beginning of the year, I wasn’t exactly satisfied with my production skills, so I cut back on releasing a lot of music and focused more on honing in my craft. it was a necessary step and this year I’m excited to release a lot of fresh new music.

3:
Question: What foods have been on your palette lately?
Answer: I’ve been really into Thai food lately, and all the great Mexican food here in southern Cali is always on point too. also seafood, I used to HATE seafood but now I’m realizing that it’s a godsend.

4:
Question: How would you describe your sound to someone with ears? Without ears?
Answer: Since they don’t have ears, I’d have no way of verbally communicating that to them. So I would show them a collection of different pictures I’ve saved that capture what my music feels like to me, and tell them to hit the blunt :).

5:
Question: Any projects coming up that we should know of?
Answer: Definitely going to be doing more remixes in the future, and lots of originals are on the way. Making a point to release quality over quantity, so hopefully they’ll all be projects you SHOULD know of :).

6:
Question:What are your goals, musically, for 2016?
Answer: Developing my sound is really important to me right now. And putting out high quality material. I still have improvements I need to make, but overall my goal for this year is to grow as much as possible as an artist and share my best work as it comes to me with the world.

7:
Question: Where is your most favorite place on Earth?
Answer: The beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado has to take the top place. That’s where I feel the most inspired, that’s where I feel the most at peace and the most at home, and I feel like a lot of people can agree with me. I highly recommend going there to anyone who’s never been to the highcountry in CO.

8:
Question: How does LOVE have an impact in your daily life? What about your music?
Answer: Love is what drives me to be happy and what makes me want to do something with my life. I think love in itself is a perfect source of energy, and the foundation to a well being. I may not be the most inwardly loving person, but I know that emitting love and as much positive emotion/energy through my music really drives and impacts my creative process and daily thought process. Love what you do.

9:
Question: Let’s flip the tables. You ask us a question and we’ll premiere the answer when your track gets posted. Go!
Answer: Describe an experience you’ve had when you’ve felt fully engulfed in nature.
Answer (phuture) : We remember this one time on LSD where we were adrift in the woods, the hoh rain forest specifically. Coming up on a beautiful peak, hiking through miles of forest, we were completely one with everything in nature, engulfed, per se. Seeing and feeling “God” in ferns specifically was inspiring. Then, all of a sudden out of nowhere, 7 llamas and 3 munks come riding on the trail… just slowly going past… and we questioned reality.

10:
Question: Give us five ideas of themes for issue six!
Question for phuture (artist) :
Answer: NAVY BLUE, POLAROID, NEBULA, MANGO, THUNDER

11:
Question: Name five artists for the listeners and readers to check out after they’ve heard this track.
Answer: octn, sophie meiers, ameba, j.robb, [ bsd.u ]
