phuture: What are you doing at this very moment [besides this interview]?
jamie blake: Working on a remix.

phuture: What has been your most memorable event you played thus far and what ones are coming up next [ this will post on 11/11 ] ?
jamie blake: One time I played drums for a cypher with Gift of Gab. Coming up I’m playing the first installment of Certain Vibes. It’s a new monthly event starting 11/12/15 at the Crocodile Back Bar in Seattle, WA. After that, I’m playing at Stop Biting @ LOFI 11/24/15 and at the Crocodile Main Room 11/28/15.

phuture: Favorite food and drink! Go!
jamie blake: Any kind of pasta. With water.

phuture: What DAW do you use and how many hours a week are you in it?
jamie blake: Ableton Live. 40+ hours/week

phuture: Why do you produce and what keeps you going?
jamie blake: I produce to express myself. I can’t always find words to say how I feel, so I put it in the music. Seeing and hearing people react to my music is what keeps me going. Being able to move people is a beautiful thing.

phuture: Any other special talents outside of the music world?
jamie blake: I’m an expert smart ass. I’m also good at making people smile 🙂

phuture: Thoughts of The Law of Attraction?
jamie blake: Put yourself out there and the right people will find you.

phuture: Where do you see yourself 1 year from now? 2 years? 5 years?
jamie blake: Following this music wherever it takes me.

phuture: What upcoming work is in store for us to look forward to? An album perhaps?
jamie blake: Working on a steady stream of exclusives + remixes. I’m also writing an EP for BLVNT RECORDS and have a concept for another EP where every track is in a weird time signature.
