The time has come for RECOVERY. You’ll have new hope for life after listening, even after going through LUST, and experiencing HEARTBREAK. We felt right to start the experience off with ‘Beginnings‘ by Osza.
Not familiar with Osza yet? Let us change that for you! phuture: Welcome aboard phuture Osza! So great to have you here, especially as part of RECOVERY. Give the world a run down of who you are, what you are into, and why you do what you do.
Osza. : Well, I’m pretty much a normal dude, I just like to make tunes man. I’m into all kinds of music really, but mainly I do chill stuff, and I do what I do because I want to make people happy (deeper reason but it’s far too too long to explain haha).

phuture: Your track ‘Beginnings’ fits our theme so perfectly. It ends the issue on the most positive and hopeful of notes. What went into the creation of this track?
Osza. : I was in a really shitty spot, and I ended up skipping school. I sat down, wrote the piano line, and banged out the track in 2 hours on a rainy tuesday morning. It’s the product of raw feelings and me putting it into music.

phuture: What has been the single most inspiring moment so far on your musical journey?
Osza. : Probably when I met my good friend and manager Ken Schneider who showed me what I was really capable of.

phuture: If we gave you $1,000,000 how would that affect your life the next few years? Would you do anything different than you currently are doing?
Osza. : I’d try to make good lives for the people that helped get me to where I’m at, and I’d like to help some of my friends and family who aren’t in easy spots at the moment. I’d probably get a small apartment and make music full time and try and make as much of a career out of it as I can.

phuture: When you are going through a dry spell what sparks newfound creativity? What advice would you give to other producers out there who can’t find that creative spark?
Osza. : Well, I listen to my old tracks to rebuild my confidence (which breaks regularly) and then I sift through the gigabytes upon gigabytes of sample packs on my PC to try and find things to build off of.

phuture: Where did you get your name? If you wouldn’t mind describing the heritage behind ‘Osza’ I’m sure our readers would love to know!
Osza. : In all honesty, I never really liked my first name. I would always get picked on for it growing up and one day I was like, “well, I’m making music now, and I’m going to put it out there, this really is a platform for me to choose my name and choose my image.” That’s the meaningful part behind choosing the name, but the name itself was a variation on a name I came up with while I was brainstorming. I wrote down a bunch, and among those names was ‘Ozza’, and I really like the way ‘s’ and ‘z’ look together, so I turned it into ‘Osza’.
