Phuture: It’s a pleasure to have you on board with your second release refractor! Woot! What have you been up to since your last release with us :)?

refractor: Yes! I’m happy to be on board again this issue, it’s probably my favorite of the seven so far. Since SPACE, honestly not too much has changed. I started taking classes again and am working more. Always trying to make stuff here and there as well, of course. Not too eventful.

Phuture: Looking back over 2016 what did you learn? Any regrets?

refractor: Goodness. I think that question speaks for itself, but I’ve gotten a notably better handle on managing my time and finances. Properly controlling those two things is really imperative in being able to really move forward and live comfortably, and that’s valuable.

Phuture: Upon asking this question, it’s the 27th of December… Have you made your goals for 2017 yet? If so – what are they?!

refractor: Move out of my parents’ house.

Phuture: What was your favorite album/ release of 2016?

refractor: There was a LOT of great stuff this year, seriously. I’ve gotta go with The Dream Is Over by PUP. There have been several day-week long periods where I’ve listened exclusively to songs from that album.

Phuture: Best spot to grab a beer in Portland?

refractor: Stand anywhere in the inner west or east sides. Close your eyes and throw a stone. You just hit a dive bar. Go there.

Phuture: Give us some shoutouts of artists who need more recognition!

refractor: I’m going to limit this to five artists: AJJ, Oberhofer, luupy, canon danzer, and xander.
