Skerp this way

Marble Floors is a testament to this producer’s command of composed arrangement and I keep coming back to it. From Cleveland, OH, Skerp blends all the good things together, so you might want to settle in for an impromptu dance session. Find a link to the track below the interview.

Phuture: Firstly, besides this interview, what are you doing at this very moment?

Skerp: Laying on an air mattress and drinking a pbr after a long ass day

Phuture: What song has been following you around lately?

Skerp: Rascal – Redbird

Phuture: You inherit an estate worth $100 million which is comprised mostly of an old, large house surrounded by acreage. The house is decorated with lots of antiques. The stipulation of the inheritance is as follows: You either have to accept it as is or sell it as is. If you choose to sell, you can only buy 1 thing with the money. Do you keep the house or do you keep the money? What do you do with the house/money?

Skerp: Probably keep it and turn the whole property into a super weird party that never stops

Phuture: Tell me a secret.

Skerp: I actually enjoy bud light lime

Phuture: What projects do you have coming up in the near future?

Skerp: All projects outside of producing. I’m studying with a percussionist in the Cleveland Orchestra and shit’s gonna be intense. But I think it will pay off. Hopefully end up getting paid to play music soon!

Phuture: Your friend loses their job and becomes depressed. In their desperation to gather income and their woes about failing, they decide to give up on their dreams of being a music producer. Do you support them in their decision or do you challenge them to keep trying?

Skerp: If they REALLY wanted it, I’d tell them to move somewhere cheap, work at a fucking Starbucks and spend every living second perfecting their craft. Audit an audio class at a community college. Make connections. All of that. Where there’s a will there’s a way. I really believe that’s true with anything

Phuture: What’s the best thing since sliced bread?

Skerp: Ableton live you dingus
