Interview curated by our founder Michael.

Phuture:  BEEDOOS BEEDOOS BEEDOS – Errrr B-Dos is it? I suppose we should know since this is your millionth release on our network… or the 10th if we count all of our countless partner channels :).

Tell us what you had for breakfast as we prepare ourselves to ask you questions we haven’t yet!

B-Dos: I tend to skip out on breakfast.. I like to wait until about 6 or 7 at night until I start my first meal on weekdays. I’m weird 🙁

Phuture:  You – weird??! No way! 😉

Phuture:  Tell us about ‘Time’. What is the meaning and inspiration behind it? What do you want listeners to take away from it?

B-Dos: I started this track about 6 months ago, and I knew when I made it that it had so much emotion and feelings in it. The inspiration behind it was just feeling alone, really. Feeling as if I had no place. Almost feeling as if I was wasting away my life doing music, and the vocals even say “don’t wanna waste my time” in the second part. Pretty deep, but I don’t feel like that anymore.

Phuture:  Let’s talk about 2019 so far – what’s been happening? What do you have planned for the rest of the year?

B-Dos: 2019 started out pretty good with my release on More Creativity Records and with you guys. I then had a single drop on Phuture which was such a great honor, and got a guest mix on Fuxwithit. I also became friends with big inspirations of mine like Blake Skowron, Zotti, and DMVU

Phuture:  If you could only have 3 things (not people) to last you for the rest of your life what would those 3 things be?

B-Dos: My computer (with ableton and cinema 4D on it), Headphones, and Air Conditioning

Phuture:  The world has changed and now you have to dress with foods. What kind of foods would your shirt, pants, socks, etc. be?

B-Dos: I would wear half a hollowed out coconut as a hat, I would pass on a shirt, and just use halved kiwis as pasties for my nipples, I would wear a watermelon as pants, like cutting out two holes in a big watermelon and putting my legs through it. For socks I would use the skins of a few large tomatoes, and for shoes I would go back to the halved coconuts and shape them properly for optimal comfort.

Phuture:  What are your top 3 reasons to stay living in Tennessee ? What are your top 3 reasons to move away somewhere else?

B-Dos: Anyone who has visited or lived here will tell you about the nature we have here. It’s a beautiful place to live. I like cold weather and our winters are sometimes too cold, but I like it.

If I had to move anywhere in the world it would be California, Due to all the connections that can be made there, the music scene they have there especially in LA, and I have a lot of music friends that live there, which would be nice to see them.

Phuture:  We’ve seen viral videos of you kicking yourself in the head with your foot – can you help those aspiring to do this with some tips? Additionally have you ever recorded this kick and placed it into a song?

B-Dos: I don’t really have tips on how to be able to do this effectively, but uhm.. I was just born really flexible in my legs and have always been able to put my legs behind my head, and I noticed that I could kick my self in the head when I saw my little cousin do it about 7 or 8 years old, and not only was I able to do it, but I did it better and harder than him. It’s a gift from God.

Actually I made a sample pack, and one of the kicks is the sound of my foot hitting the wood flooring in my living room layered with a kick I synthesized in serum. 🙂

Phuture:  What inspires you? Who inspires you? Why do you keep moving forward?

B-Dos: I’m inspired by a lot of things, but mostly just seeing people actually enjoying my music makes me happy and pushes me to continue. Same for who inspires me, I’m inspired by so many people, it’s hard to even say one person or thing. You inspire me a lot to really push boundaries and keep making the music I love even if it doesn’t do well. As long as I’m happy with what I’m making and I’m not trying to cater to a specific audience. I will keep moving forward.

Phuture: Name 5 artists that are going to take over 2019!

B-Dos: Flawed Mangoes, Zotti (once he returns from his hiatus), Rad Hatter, and P A T H, wait for his new EP ;), and yojas.
