Interview curated by Michael of the Phuture Collective team.

Phuture: FLY!! Big warm welcome to Phuture Collective :). We’re excited for a chance to get to know you further so let’s hop right into it.

What did you have for breakfast?

FLY:  Sativa and a bagel

Phuture: Let’s talk about ‘Bengali’. Talk to us about the inspirations behind the track and the current path you are on!

FLYYee “Bengali” is the first of a few tracks coming out this Fall that are apart of a transition to a more minimal, percussion-focused style that aligns more with my vision for the future.

Phuture: What do you do for a living outside of music? What is your creation space like?

FLYFor work I’m a freelance audio engineer, doing mixing, mastering and production in LA. Also been working part time doing proposal writing for a software company on the side. I built a treated mastering studio in Downtown where I do all music/video related stuff.

Phuture: If you had to live in a giant pumpkin or a tiny house the rest of your life what would you choose? (The pumpkin will not rot btw!)

FLY: yee pumpkin studio sounds nice

Phuture: How did you discover Phuture Collective?

FLYI feel like I had heard about Phuture long before I found most of the catalog just through word of mouth from homies

Phuture: Name 5 artists who are going to take over in 2019!

FLYdam hard to choose 5 but a few that come to mind

Mo Vibez

Sumthin Sumthin

Phuture: Anything else you want to mention before we part ways for now?

FLYI’ll post upcoming release dates soon for singles coming out this fall on below the surface, Dont Die at Work, Good Nature, Saturate! Records and a few others.
