Question: Summing up 2015, in a musical nutshell what did music do for you and where did it take you?

Answer: Good question. In 2015 I attended literally zero social events. I’v been on hibernation mode since 2014 so music hasn’t taken me anywhere physically yet but in the mental i’v walked miles. In 2015 I learned 90% of the music theory I wished to learn. Taught myself a formula to construct an endless amount of chords and another one for scales. From that, i’m now able to get ideas from inside my head to inside my DAW and to me that is the dopest thing because I was almost 3 years trying to figure that out on my own. Got a laptop in December too which was tight because I working off an old Windows XP pc that only had like 1GB of ram so to break free from that limitation is indescribable. To sum up what music did for me in 2015, it helped me to channel the happiness & stress’ that this here life throws my way. Nothing in this life as important as a healthy mind.

Question: Let us step in your shoes for a day. What’s for breakfast, whats your daily routine, and when is music involved?

Answer: I’m a bacon eggs kinda guy. No stranger to pizza for breakfast too tho 😉 Wake up, scuab mo fiacla (brush my teeth in Irish), walk the dog then make me a hot cuppa tea/coffee or cappuccino then head straight to the keyboard + laptop and start cookin up that wonton soup. Probably cliche to say but my life revolves around music. There is nothing else right now. 8 hours a day minimum i’m at the keyboard making beats. When i’m not making beats i’m thinking about making some or watching something to further my skills. I’v done a lot with my life upto this point, turned 23 yesterday (16th feb) so if i’m trying to live forever, what is it to take the next 7 years out of my life to pursue what I really want. If nothings happened by the time i’m 30 then yeah i’ll go be a normal human but right now my ideology is give myself 100% to this and when i’m old & cold I won’t have any regrets thinking I could have done more.

Question: We are giving you a hot air balloon filled with $50,000 you MUST spend to travel the world for 324 hours. What do you choose to do and where do you go?

Answer: I live on €100 a week so I could make 50 g’z last like 10 years with some change left over but if I had to spend it i’d adopt as many dogs as I could afford to provide for. Probably buy some sort of flying weighted wagon to attach to the back of the hot air balloon and put all them son bitches in there and fly to some nice ass mountain or something and just cool it till the snacks run out. Then probably find a bad ass tree and wrap the hot air balloon around it ( its gotta be leather or some shit right ?) make it into some sort of circus tent house, might cut up the basket part of the hot air balloon and make it into a bed like a futon or something, maybe even make it into a dog house. I’d be chillin pho rill.

Question: Any projects coming up that we should know of?

Answer: Yes I got’s some. First and foremost the homie Mayzin The Messiah and I have banded together to start APEX. Collective thing. We are working on an EP because Mayzin is a dope ass lyricist so we hope for that to be our first release on that. There are others in the worx that I don’t want to jynx or speak too soon about so the main focus of 2016 is getting APEX off that ground with The Messiah.

Question:What are your goals, musically, for 2016?

Answer: Work with more people. I always held back from reaching out to collab or submitting music until I bettered the craft so this year I have a wishlist I hope to slay. Mainly to be a better a musician. Record more live instrumentation because I play guitar, drums, piano and went looking to buy a saxophone yesterday so I hope to have them all in my music this year. I’d like to play my first live show too. Ireland’s not really up on the future beats scene yet, only a select few know whats up right now.

Question: When was the moment you decided that producing was right for you?

Answer: When I was a kid my brother used to play that song Eiffel 65 – I’m Blue before school in the morning (you know that one ‘im blue da ba dee da ba die’) that song made me feel so weird to the point where I told my Momma I was allergic to music hahaha I had no idea what I was saying but after I stopped being ‘allergic’ to it I realized how much it affected the way I felt. One memory of playing Duke Nukem on the ps1 and my brother having Tupac – R U Still Down playing in the background, cant describe the feeling but the way I felt at that moment stuck with me forever and now when I play back that song it takes me right back to the very moment in great detail. I have 100s maybe even thousands of moments in time like that that can all be unlocked by simply pressing the play button on different songs. The day my old homeslice Scott introduced me to Fruity Loops the possibility of being able to create those moments in time for someone else was finally a possibility so I was gassed. That was like 2011 maybe. The day I decided to really put the head down and figure this producing thing out was April 4th 2014. I’ll never forget that day
