Question: What was the first track you heard today?
Answer: “Can Do It” by Atu because you should always pick an alarm song you’ll never get tired of.

Question: Summing up 2015, in a musical nutshell what did music do for you and where did it take you?
Answer: Physically it took me about 30 miles south of where I was at the start of 2015 since I moved in the middle of the year to be closer to more shows and to be in a city. But for real it has always taken me to the part of myself where creativity and self-doubt meet and I learn a lot about myself there so I always go back.

Question: Let us step in your shoes for a day. What’s for breakfast, whats your daily routine, and when is music involved?
Answer: For breakfast I keep it classic with eggs, bacon and coffee most days haha. From there I’ll head to work at either 11 or 2:30. If it’s 2:30 I’ll try to squeeze in some production before work. My work actually plays a lot of swing and jazz music so I’m kind of half-listening for samples all day! I like the general music of life whether it’s utensils clinking together or the cash register opening or the boba sealer sealing boba. There’s a lot of music out there, all you gotta do is listen. When I get off work I normally have some food, smoke a bowl and try to make some music if I have the inspiration.

Question: We are giving you a hot air balloon filled with $50,000 you MUST spend to travel the world for 324 hours. What do you choose to do and where to you go?
Answer: I think I’d have to float down to Patagonia and rent a bad ass lake house or something like that and make a few stops in Latin America on the way just to make sure I spend all the money. I’d do something involving nature for sure though.

Question: Any projects coming up that we should know of?
Answer: Not so much right now. I have a bunch of old stuff that I’m sitting on that I love one day and hate the next so I just want to push forward and keep creating until I love a track everyday. Probably an impossible goal 🙂

Question: What are your goals, musically, for 2016?
Answer: Just to keep improving. Learn my way around new synths. Learn new sound design techniques. I need to become a granular synthesis expert I think, love those types of sounds.

Question: How do you make money if you do?
Answer: Â I work at a tea and boba shop in downtown Denver for now so I’m just doing my thing!

Question: Finish this sentence
Answer: “Anyway you like, just not with a preposition.”

Question: Let’s flip the tables. You ask us a question and we’ll premiere the answer when your track gets posted. Go!
Question for phuture (artist) : What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever been?
Answer: Hoh Rainforest… or The Gorge Amphitheater

Question: When was the moment you decided that producing was right for you?
Answer: I made a terrible dubstep song in like 2010 (and not just one) on FL Studio and I loved it. From there I just started listening and creating and got more and more addicted to production.
