Today you get to meet Šuma , out of Eugene, OR. He used to go by ‘Woods’, who you might remember from issue three, with his track ‘Cold Heart‘.
We’ve been able to get to know him on a deeper level the past few months, as phuture continues to grow and work together. He shared us this track, which you’ll be hearing below, called Stutter and we had to have him on board. Luckily, they pulled through at the last minute & we couldn’t be any happier with this KUSH themed submission. Question: What are you listening to right now?
Answer: Currently listening to some Dido hahah

Question: Summing up 2015, in a musical nutshell what did music do for you and where did it take you?
Answer: Music took me to way too many cool places this year, all my best memories were created by music in some shape or form

Question: Let us step in your shoes for a day. What’s for breakfast, whats your daily routine, and when is music involved?
Answer: Wake up around 4pm, eat some food, work on beats til I go to work at like 8, then cook food for drunk people til 4am, go home and restart the process!

Question: You are given the chance to immediately cross ANY item off your bucket list. What do you choose?
Answer: Go on a date with Barbara Palvin, hopefully propose to her 😉

Question: Any projects coming up that we should know of?
Answer: New ep is about half way done, and planning on playing it out for the first time when I open for Woolymammoth and Eprom on April 7th in Eugene!

Question: What are your goals, musically, for 2016?
Answer: I dont want to set goals but Im going to keep making beats as much as I can cause I love doin it!

Question: If you could transform into any creature, what creature would you chose and why?
Answer: Polar Bear because I love those guys they’re the shit

Question: How does KUSH have an impact in your daily life? What about your music?
Answer: I dont really smoke weed any more. I do occasionally while partying and shit but Id say my biggest influence on my beats is a gold ol’ 40 hahah

Answer: always half full, we try to get our glass half phull, though, as trading ‘f’ for a ‘ph’ is phuture.

Question: When was the moment you decided that producing was right for you?
Answer: Playing a set at What The Festival 2014 really made me realize I love playing music for people, so maybe that I guess

Answer: Id say my 5 biggest influences would be G Jones, Bleep Bloop, Eprom, Dr Derg, and Ekali, so check those dudes out they all kill it!
