Phuture Collective : Hey there fellas! It’s so great to welcome william. on board Phuture, especially alongside our good friend Untitld. For Untitld this will be his third Phuture release, earning him a spot among those like Mo Vibez, DIVERSA, RVKIT, CLIN & more. Both of you have been continually upping the game. From Untitld’s recent collaboration with Tsuruda & creation of Lost Dogz – to william.’s WALLFUCK remix of Flume which is at over 100,000 plays! Before we get into the juicy stuff, tell us what you’ve been up to in the past few weeks.

william. : last few weeks have just been spent finishing up this sem of uni which has been pretty chaotic, but ive also been able to finish up some projects which are dropping heaps soon

Untitld : been working my new job the past couple weeks, but I just got back from the Untz festival a couple days ago! Had a blast hanging out with my boys Eazybaked and Milano. Also got to see my first Yheti set which blew my mind.

Phuture Collective : 101%. This is a murky journey through the modern day of experimental bass music. Mind each taking a moment to go over the inspirations behind the track and name?

william. : inspiration, stylistically, is definitely stemming from the likes of tsuruda. Name-wise, idek its what it was named originally awhile back lol

Untitld : yeah definitely inspired from the recent wave of murk music coming up. Much love to Tsu boy, Derg (r.i.p) Gangus and all the Courteous Fam heads for being the forerunners of this new genre.

Phuture Collective : What was the first album you each purchased? What about the most recent?

william. : trying to remember the first would definitely be stretching it, but most recent was Herzeloyde’s ‘4D’ EP

Untitld : first album I bought was the Styx, The Grand Illusion. Second was Guns N’ Roses, Appetite for Destruction.

Phuture Collective : Tell us about working together! How do each of your styles complement one another? Were there any issues you had to overcome?

william. : working together was pretty fresh, it didn’t take us long to finish this track because Josh cranked out most of it in one go which was fresh. I think our styles blend well together because they’re so similar at the moment. no issues when working together though

Untitld : Yeah this track was smooth as hell, we finished it relatively quick compared to other tracks I’m working on (Ryan I’m talking to you hahaha) but yeah our styles match really well. William is a man of many talents, it was easy to catch his vibes on this one.

Phuture Collective : How many hours a week do you spend producing? What gets your creative juices flowing?

william. : trying to pinpoint the amount of hours would be hard because if im not working or studying, im usually making music, so im going to go with ‘a lot’. Definitely just going on a Soundcloud trawl gets the juices flowing for creativity.

Untitld : I try to spend whatever free time I have producing. Could range from 2-10 hours a day. Most my creative inspiration comes from life experiences. After traveling is when I’m always the most inspired to make something.

Phuture Collective : 2017 has been something else – and we’re not even half-way done! What can we expect from each of you individually the rest of the year? What about next :)?

william. : more shows and alot more experimental bass/lofi releases

Untitld : I got a gang of collabs coming. Vide, Keenan Mathias, Sfam and Gir just to name a few. A bunch of shows in the upcoming months and my first festival performance in August! Also be on the lookout for a Lost Dogz summertape.

Phuture Collective : We love what you are doing with your label, Lost Dogz – you are steadily climbing up and bringing sound to the world they didn’t know they wanted to hear. How do you find the artists that release with you, and what do you look for when picking a track that fits your vibe?

Untitld : Much love! Well Lost Dogz is pretty much just a group of homies releasing music, kind of similar to Team Supreme I’d imagine. We honestly just throw the question of “Who’s releasing next?” in our group chat and whoever wants to drop something can go for it.

_____________________________________________

Phuture Collective : william.! Give us 3-5 artists who deserve some more recognition :).

william. : Haydos, methone & leet, these dudes are beasts

_____________________________________________

Phuture Collective : Can we expect more collaborations between you two in the future?

Untitld : I’d definitely be down for it!

_____________________________________________

Phuture Collective: That about wraps it up! What are you each going to do after you answer this last question :)?

william. : eat some Vegemite and ride my kangaroo

Untitld : About to eat some watermelon and smoke me a spliff.
