Interview with Gibbon:

phuture:  Hey Gibbon! Welcome aboard phuture. Tell the world a bit about yourself before we dive into some juicy questions.

Gibbon : My name is Zack and I live in Boston. I’ve been producing (in Ableton) for about 4 years, but been heavy into music for over a decade as a guitarist

phuture:  What made you start producing and what keeps you going?

Gibbon :  In middle school I would constantly record really crappy songs in garage band. It was mostly clipping guitar noises and preset drum loops. When I went to college I discovered electronic music and downloaded Ableton. Haven’t looked back since. The feeling of constant progression keeps me going. I’m always looking for new inspiration and new ways to make sound.

phuture: Turtles or tortoises?

Gibbon :  I like turtles 🐢

phuture: How did you find out about phuture?

Gibbon : Browsing reddit r/futurebeatproducers

phuture: What is the best thing since sliced bread?

Gibbon :  Tossup between side-chain compression and bacon

phuture: Looking back at 2016 how much did you learn? Additionally, what goals do you have for 2017?

Gibbon :   2016 was a good year as I started taking my music more seriously and put it out there. I plan to keep momentum going and look to do some collabs in 2017

Gibbon :  Metsa, charles nimbus, & zotti put out fire.
