Phuture Collective :Welcome aboard Planet V! It’s so good to have you here, after seemingly years of speaking with one another. You’ve been here from nearly the beginning so let’s make up for lost time. Tell the world a bit about yourself & what you ate for breakfast!
Planet V : So true, I remember being inspired by the PC back when you guys were rocking triple digit followers, it’s amazing to see how far you guys have come while still connecting with producers on a personal level and being an amazing community.
As for me, I have always had a love for the music game, it’s truly the greatest most imaginative art form in my eyes, it leaves so much room for your own imagination to create a unique experience. Thats one thing I’ve always loved: the idea that two unique beings can trigger different memories and emotions through receiving the same patterns of vibrations, absolutely amazing.
Phuture Collective : Tell us about ‘Agave’. When we first heard this, we couldn’t think of a track at the time that matched the theme more than this! What were your inspirations behind this in particular?
Planet V : The idea of being unbound, being your own person, living life to it’s absolute fullest and following your dreams, no matter what the are or what others opinions may be. There’s nothing better than removing yourself as another cog in the machine to discover your true desires and character. There is always time, and no one ever really knows what they’re doing, always know that.
Phuture Collective :How long have you been producing & what keeps you doing so? What’s your setup / workspace look like?
Planet V : I think it’s been upwards of 8 years now. When i was younger i had it in my head that OBVIOUSLY everyone wanted to produce music, there is NOTHING cooler. As i matured i slowly realized (at least in my local scene), it was just me. And that’s the great thing about Soundcloud and Groups like the PC, you can connect with all those people that have a similar mindset as you, and create things you never would have thought of on your own.
Anyways, I have produced every type of genre that i can imagine, I have a deep love for complex vibration in all its forms. I love it when i hear something I’ve never heard before, this is probably my greatest inspiration, taking something new and pushing it through my lens, innovation is the game. I would have stopped producing a long time ago if it wasn’t for variety, but luckily, variety is abundant in the art scene.
Phuture Collective : If your music was like being served at a fancy restaurant – what would the 5 courses be from start to finish?
Planet V : Soup of the fuckin day bruh, try something new.
A starter of bread with olive oil and balsamic served on a cushion of marijuana vapor, with tiny holes in the top of the cushion. Bruschetta topping or four cheese blend at your request.
Quinoa or orzo salad with vegetables you’ve probably never even heard of.
Gnocchi in Rose or Alfredo, served with your choice of italian sausage, and apple sauce.
As for the dessert, a bottle of premium Tequila, lets get fucked, no balls.
Phuture Collective : Tell us a bit about life outside of music. Where do you work & live? What other passions do you have?
Planet V : I live in Ottawa Canada, and I just started working as an telephone/internet technician to pay the bills. As much as I’d love to make music only for the rest of my life, I work the poles so my girl doesn’t have to. As for my other passions: I love biking, subarus, and filipinos 😉
Phuture Collective :Where do you see yourself 3 years from now?
Planet V : Collabing with metro boomin.
Phuture Collective : Name 3 artists who deserve more recognition!
Planet V : These homies have been there since day 1:
Weaver Beats, my soundcloud dad.
