Phuture Collective : WELCOME ABOARD PHUTURE!! We’ve been waiting seemingly so long to get you both on board, so it’s blissful to get you on one track together. Introduce yourselves to the world & tell us what you had for breakfast!
summet : Glad to be here! I’m Justin and I like music! I usually don’t eat much for breakfast but this morning I went the healthy route with some poptarts and cinnamon toast crunch.
Bahnseye : Yo! my name name is Zach but as you all know I go by Bahnseye. I turn 17 on July 13th and have been performing live with an instrument called the Vibraphone for almost 6 years, two of which prior to producing. Ever since discovering the old MPC, I fell in love with production. My goal is to combine vibraphone/live performance with my productions!
Oh yea… I forgot to eat breakfast… 🙁

Phuture Collective :’Let’s talk about ‘Gold’ for a moment. What inspirations went into this track? How did the collaborative process work between you two?
summet : Initially the track started with a sample of a guitar progression I played, and we worked off of that exotic vibe. Even though we were working in different DAW’s the process went smoothly! Zach was a pleasure to work with.
Bahnseye : This was around the time I had just join the phuture discord. Everyone was so talented and I wanted nothing more that to make tracks! Summet was one of the first artists that caught my eye due to his songwriting strengths as well as production skills. Working on different DAWs was very tough, but we managed to pull it off while also learning a lot about collaboration and each other’s sound!

Phuture Collective : If your music was a fruit, what fruit would it be?
summet : People say some of my newer tracks have the texture of a blackberry, which is a very interesting distinction.
Bahnseye : uhhhhh maybe a watermelon? haha

Phuture Collective : How long have each of you been producing? What keeps you doing so?
summet : I’ve been producing since May of 2016. Music has always been my passion; having a track to work on makes me happy.
Bahnseye : Around 4 ½ years. I am mostly self taught and was a little a little bit of a slow learner. It keeps me going because im addicted. I love nothing in the world more than success and I am dedicated to attaining it through my music.

Phuture Collective :What do you both have planned individually for the rest of this year? What about collectively?
summet : I’m almost done with an EP which will be released on a very special label!
Bahnseye : I am also working on an EP but most of all a sweet live set. It’s my goal to open for one of my favorite artists ‘Gold Link’ before October.

Phuture Collective : Each of you are starting to work on other projects besides your main alias. If you can say, tell us a bit about your other endeavors!
summet : I don’t want to say too much yet, but I’ve got something quite “bouncey” in the works with some pretty awesome people right now.
Bahnseye : As some may know, I am also the Co owner of the phuture sub collective Sensitiv. My goal for sensitiv to reach 2000 followers by the end of the year, as well as release a full line of clothing! Last but not least, I want to create a community within sensitiv. Something to reinforce the Soundcloud community and make us known! We aren’t just one line of media, but a multimedia brand that covers not only music but visual art, and clothing.
