Meet ∞ KOZMO ∞ out of Tacoma, WA. ∞ KOZMO ∞ has been on our radar for what seems like years, and we’re happy to honor him aboard with his first submission to phuture.
∞ KOZMO ∞ has this knack of creating purple psychedelic bass which has been carved into a sound all his own. While his production level is strong and inspiring, you’ll also hear the same from the quality mixes he puts out fairly frequently. We had a chance to interview ∞ KOZMO ∞ which you can find after you press play to hear his track Munchies.

Question: What are you listening to right now?
Answer: Diamond City Radio

Question: Summing up 2015, in a musical nutshell what did music do for you and where did it take you?
Answer: I realized that music was the answer to everything. (*edit* actually 42 is). It took the ups and downs of last year to realize that music (or whatever your passion is) is the only thing that matters to achieve happiness.

Question: Let us step in your shoes for a day. What’s for breakfast, whats your daily routine, and when is music involved?
Answer: I wake up and get the coffee brewing. 2 mandarin oranges mandatory. Then its right to the music. Something needs to be accomplished every day. Whether that means a new track written, show/festival booked, a private music lesson taught, or a song sold thru my sync music company, Top Shelf Groove. Fallout 4 fills all gaps in the day. F*** sleep.

Question: You are given the chance to immediately cross ANY item off your bucket list. What do you choose?
Answer: Its funny, I actually have no answer for this. The “end” that the bucket list prepares you for, to me, is no where in sight.

Question: Any projects coming up that we should know of?
Answer: Nothing specific. I just released my last EP on Shadowtrix Music. A new super hot label right now co-owned by Trevor Kelly and Andrew “Treemeista”‘s. I do have some tracks on compilations for both Chillage Records, Never Slept and Anomaly Music Collective plus a couple others that I can’t talk about right now. I’m always tryna release music with some new crew, I’m all about networking. Oh, and I recently sent out like 20+ collabs to different artist around the U.S. so tracks are definitely being written too ;;;)

Question: What are your goals, musically, for 2016?
Answer: Play as many festivals as possible. Play as many new states and countries as possible. Release as much music as possible.

Question: If you could transform into any creature, what creature would you chose and why?
Answer: Some kind of large winged beast. Flight, obv.

Question: How does KUSH have an impact in your daily life? What about your music?
Answer: Kush has saved my life. Straight up.

Question for phuture (artist) : What makes you do what you do?
Answer: We question that. Collectively, perhaps a bit too much. It started when I, synchronistic, started hearing these great tracks that weren’t getting the recognition they received. The most logical thing to do at that point, was create a platform for all of those sounds, so other people could be as inspired as I. Some of my favorite tracks have less than thousands of plays. We’ve all got our own love and ears, but since I personally have those favorite songs, you personally do too… and the other 10 people that suggest reposts on a daily basis. It started with that, and now, I do this because it’s a ‘we’, as a collective. We all have our voices and opinions and ideas, and together we’re able to turn them into reality. Our next big task is to put our tracks collectively on a platform that can outlast soundcloud. We’ll use the same platform, our website, to grow closer via communication & collaboration. We’ve got goals & we see the love and inspiration that is being created, and that is what keeps us doing what we do.
