Question: What was the first track you heard today?
Answer: Sadly I think i popped on one of my own mixes (Which starts off with a tune from me and binx called “U dont know”) first cause it got released through PlayMyKick while I was asleep. A lot of things that drop with other labels/collectives and stuff I don’t control are always when I am sleeping cause of the time zones haha.
Question: Summing up 2015, in a musical nutshell what did music do for you and where did it take you?
Answer: It’s hard to say I was going through a lot of life shit that took away from me doing music, so 2015 wasn’t a great year for me for a good portion of it.
Question: Let us step in your shoes for a day. What’s for breakfast, whats your daily routine, and when is music involved?
Answer: If i got money, i’m trying to get something fulfilling, which most likely means buying something somewhere. Probably a plate lunch or fast food to get going with my day quick. If i’m kind of broke I’ll probably eat cereal and a snack or something and ramen for lunch or something. If i’m not injured I like to skate on some days, it’s always good to get some exercise and for me that’s the funnest way. Music is pretty involved the whole day unless I am out skating or have some errands to do. My job is mastering songs too so I’m almost always listening to music.
Question: We are giving you a hot air balloon filled with $50,000 you MUST spend to travel the world for 324 hours. What do you choose to do and where to you go?
Answer: I would pick up girls i know along the way from different places, also stop by some places to play some gigs lol.
Question: Any projects coming up that we should know of?
Answer: There’s another top cats compilation in the works I’m gonna try give them something really fire. I got a lot of collabs on the way, I’m waiting to see which ones get done first. (w/ eden ivy, mister, Mickey melrose and more)
Question: What are your goals, musically, for 2016?
Answer: I’m trying to put out a new song almost every week, and progressively get back on my game, hopefully make the best music i’ve ever made.
Question: How do you make money if you do?
Answer: Mastering and sometimes mixdowns, and very rarely DJing
Question: Finish this sentence
Answer: ??? no sentence to finish lol.
Question: Let’s flip the tables. You ask us a question and we’ll premiere the answer when your track gets posted. Go!
Question for phuture (artist) : Are you guys going to keep up this rate of releases, promotion etc? I think you guys will blow up if you do. so keep it up.
Answer: Thank you, we think we’ll blow up too. Haha, we’re trying to release steady content. Be on the lookout for our new March exclusive feature. Tracks every week!
Question: When was the moment you decided that producing was right for you?
Answer: Maybe like 2008 or 9 I was listening to flying lotus in my car getting high with some friends at our college and I was just like dude I want to do this, he’s doing this with a computer?, i love computers i love music, i am in!!
