mvpvche brings “lml” to life, a toe-curling addition to issue seven | MIDNIGHT. Be sure to listen as you peruse through his Chilean wisdom, during this one-on-one interview with mvpvche.

—————————————————————————————————————————–

phuture: Give the world a rundown of mvpvche
mvpvche: Hey everyone this is mvpvche, the South American otaku and producer who likes to make weird and loves jazz

—————————————————————————————————————————–

phuture: What originally got you into producing?
mvpvche: My idea was to make trippy things and say ‘wtf’, especially if u like smoke some rockets, because if you just close your eyes then you can go to crazy places.

——————————————————————————————————————————

phuture:  Looking back over 2016 what did you learn? Any regrets?

mvpvche: well it was good to put my shit together man, lot of things going on in my mind so now I can focus more on the goals I want and the things I need

——————————————————————————————————————————

phuture: For producers who have been at it a couple years and want to quit – what advice do you have for them?

mvpvche: Bro during 2016 I was in an infinite struggle with myself, telling myself that “maybe you need to quit” and shit or “maybe I’m not good for this” so all I can tell you is that you are the only person who can tell you what you have to do and need to know if what you want is really what you want, you have to fight with those thoughts and realize that by yourself

——————————————————————————————————————————

phuture: What location and setting would your ideal studio be in? Be specific!

mvpvche: hard question because I need to be there to say if I want to stay hahah but I’m sure that I don’t want to be in a cold place (not Alaska or places like that haha) I think if I’m with a laptop, nice speakers n homies I will be happy haha

——————————————————————————————————————————

phuture: Any tips on how to get clean, wide, solid and textured bass like you? : )

mvpvche: Well all is on the mix-down maybe. Using groups I separate frequencies, and to make it wide I use a lot of “utility” which is a nice ableton plugin.
——————————————————————————————————————————

phuture: What are your goals for 2017?

mvpvche: develop my first ep which is gonna be special cus I wanna make a psychedelic video for it so I think it will be really sick, make some collabs with great producers and make of mvpvche a good experience.
——————————————————————————————————————————

phuture: What’s the ‘fad’ or ‘new thing’ going to be musically in 2017?

mvpvche: idk hard question, maybe make a future bass remix of everything? I’m kinda tired of that, please don’t hate me cus of this hahaha
